But nooo, he’s a genius, battling for the civil rights of the poor, poor people forced to adhere to nondiscriminatory practices towards minorities. How awful for their civil liberties. It must have been nearly as bad as getting hit with firehoses or having dogs turned on you in the streets for trying to fight for equality.

I once saw someone try to refute the accusations of Ron Paul being racist by claiming “he wants to shut down the war on drugs, and PoC are disproportionately affected by the war on drugs, therefore he CANNOT be racist”

Nevermind his problem with the war on drugs has NOTHING to do with the fact that it oppresses PoC and he does, in fact, ignore the systematic oppression of PoC by labelling them all criminals.
